Downside? Since it was slightly too big, the chest area lacked support. If you have a larger bust, you might be fine, but if you need extra lift, you may want to size down or wear a swim bra underneath.

Pink Jungle Tankini – For those who prefer more coverage, Proud Poppy also offers a tankini option. The stomach area fit great, but the chest area was a little loose. If you’re between sizes, you might face a dilemma—sizing down could be too tight in the stomach, but keeping your usual size might be too loose in the bust.

Fit and Stretch: Surprisingly stretchy for a sequin dress! Unlike other sequin dresses I’ve tried (I’m looking at you, Eloquii), this one didn’t require sizing up.
Comfort: The dress is fully lined, including the flutter sleeves, ensuring that the sequins don’t scratch or irritate the skin. Comfort is often sacrificed with sequins, but not with this dress.
Length and Coverage: At 5’2″, the dress hit at a good length for me. Taller folks might find it a bit shorter. When bending over, my thigh chafe shorts were visible, but that’s part of why I love wearing them—they protect both my thighs and my modesty.
Design Details: The purple-silver color scheme is gorgeous. Despite not usually being a fan of purple, I couldn’t resist this dress. Another bonus? No zippers or closures—just slip it over your head, and you’re ready to shine.

Next up, I styled the Selkie Carol Day Dress which features a gorgeous floral and bow pattern. This dress screams Valentine’s Day with its adorable print. I paired this dress with my favorite pink boots from Wydr. They somehow seem to just go with everything!
Next I grabbed a really unique purse, it’s actually handmade from Etsy! This purse was made to look like a fake vintage cake with cherries and “icing” on top that says “let them eat cake”. The pink and red vintage cake purse just felt so perfect for this plus size Valentine’s Day outfit!

What’s a more glamorous plus size Valentine’s Day outfit than a velvet dress and fur jacket? This outfit made me feel so Hollywood glam, especially when I was standing in front of the gorgeous San Diego palm trees!

To elevate this outfit, I added a red lace-up corset. This corset is a great layering piece for adding texture and definition to your outfit.
What really sets the punk vibe is these heavy duty combat boots. I was originally going to wear some black flats but I absolutely love how it all came together with the boots. To top it all off I grabbed my adorable Kate Spade mailbox purse to tie in the red corset.

But why settle for just any tea outing when you can make it extraordinary by adding a dash of theatrical flair? That’s exactly what I did when I decided to channel my inner Glinda the Good Witch from Wicked for an afternoon of tea with friends. The key to dressing as Glinda is embracing sparkle, pink, and *drama*. But as a plus-size woman, finding the perfect outfit that fits and flatters can sometimes feel like a challenge. I wanted to create a look that not only captured Glinda’s iconic style but also allowed me to feel comfortable and confident throughout the day.
The Dress
For my look, I opted for a pastel pink tulle gown with layers of flowing fabric. It had just the right balance of whimsical princess vibes without being too over-the-top. A tea-length dress worked perfectly, as it was more practical for the setting while still giving me those fairy tale feels. I also added delicate earrings and matching necklace to complete the look. Can’t forget a little sparkle on the fingers too! Accessories are a great way to elevate your outfit and truly embody the character. Plus, they’re often the easiest pieces to customize or find at budget-friendly prices.
The Shoes
While Glinda might float around Oz in heels, I knew I’d be walking and standing quite a bit, so comfort was key. I chose these block heels in the perfect pink color from Wydr which are made for folks who wear wide width. This candle painting project was so easy, all it takes is a little bit of patience. There are only a few supplies you need: candles, paintbrushes and a lighter. Make sure you are using paintbrushes you don’t mind ruining because you’re likely going to singe the bristles on the flame. Hi Fly Friends, I’m so excited about the new plus size swimwear options that are already hitting stores! I put together a roundup with a mix of different styles that also cater to different budgets for you to check out. Remember, plus size swimwear sells out quickly! If you see a style that you like, it’s most likely on sale right now for spring and won’t be again until swim season is over. Or it will sell out like hot cakes! I feel like with swim, it’s always better to buy early if you have your heart set on a specific style. Let’s get into it!

No tan lines here, baby! I love a strapless option, and this watercolor print is so gorgeous. This suit does come with additional straps that you can add if you’re looking for that extra coverage. I love adding them when I’m getting into the water and taking them off to spend time in the sun or catch a tan. This suit is a great mix of pops of color that still manages to feel a bit neutral. Neutral but funky! It also comes with matching cover up style pants! There is also a ruched midi skirt option that is gorgeous as well!
2. Gold Chain Detail Suit

Speaking of neutral but funky, this suit is a great option for my neutral babes who love a fun statement piece! I love this abstract animal print and the gold chain details of the straps. the print is a mix of chocolate brown and olive green, which is so fun. The cups in this suit are defined on the outside. You can also snag this gorgeous matching cover up kaftan dress. I love when suits come with matching cover ups so that you can easily go from the water to a restaurant or run into a shop. Cover ups to transform a swimsuit into a chic outfit are the best.

The textured detail of this top is so cute! This suit definitely gives me a Y2K vibe, which I’m living for. I also love being able to find swimsuit bottoms in plus sizes that aren’t high waisted. While I love wearing high wasited suits, it’s nice to finally have other options for my babes who are more mid rise people. This suit comes in multiple colors. I think it would be fun to mix and match tops and bottoms for a colorblock look, too!
4. Leaf Print One Piece

Of course, I have to include something with a tropical leaf print. I’m a sucker for prints that make you feel like your on a tropical vacation. This print is a little more abstract and less obvious. So fun! This also has great coverage in the front with nice support and a gorgeous cutout back with criss cross straps.

This is a classic black bikini taken to the next level! I am in love with the woven details on this suit that make it look like it was sewn on the edges by a giant. The gold grommet details are so fun and add a bit of glam that I really enjoy. If you’re looking for the perfect black suit that will pair well with everything but still make a statement, this is it!

This fruit print is so precious! Those are little strawberries on there. I love seeing plus size swim on plus size models in bright colors and fun prints. It really is healing for my plus size heart after years of the swim options being abysmal. I love the cheeky style of these bottoms, too! You can actually see how they’ll come up higher and show more leg on the model. They also make your bum look amazing!

This one is for my sporty chic babes. This suit is perfect for anyone with a sporty, preppy, or streetwear style. I feel like this can also fit into a vintage vibe. The zipper detail is so cute and functional so you can show as much or as little chest as you’d like. Throw on a tennis skort over this and you’re ready for beach sports in no time!
8. Purple Braided Halter Suit

This breaded detail is everything! If you love a halter neckline, this is the suit for you. this color is gorgeous and gives such a fun but chic vibe. I love solid color suits because you can easily pair them with different coverups and add patterns that way. This would also be a great suit to wear as a bodysuit in the summer! Pro Tip: I always recommend halter necklines for my babes with smaller chests because, for my bigger chested friends, this can pull a lot on your neck if you tie it tight enough to give you the support you really need.

Let this beauty dry and you’re good to go from beach to restaurant without adding anything. This suit really does it all.

I’m so excited to see the weather change and welcome warmer days, especially for all of my babes who have been experiencing a ton of snow and low temps this winter! Wearing a flowy, bright, floral spring dress after months of being cooped up in the cold can do wonders for a Fly Friend. Take off the blazer and you’re ready for drinks after work.

I love this floral pattern! This would make a gorgeous Easter dress. I love the sunset hues and the flowers remind me of a watercolor painting which is so gorgeous. I also love the longer sleeves and the tie at the waist. You can definitely wear this to a family party or to work.

This dress is midi length and the rainbow stripes are such a fun way to bring color into your wardrobe.

This ombre floral moment is so cute! This is another “from work to the weekend” dress. You can totally wear any of these dresses to an Easter outing, too! Here’s the horizontal ombre I was talking about! This is the most precious orange creamsicle dress I have ever seen! The ruffle details between all of the tiers are really special. This dress has a more structured top and defined waist, but still keeps the soft elastic at the puff sleeves which I love.

Behold, the ultimate picnic dress! This gorgeous number is fully gingham with floral embroidery and lace at all of the tiers on the skirt. The puff sleeves keep it feeling whimsical and the gingham print screams spring. The top of this dress is entirely stretchy as well. I think this is such a great addition to any spring wardrobe and can easily be dressed up or down.

This is for my Fly Friends who don’t love bright spring colors or pastels but still want the spring vibe. The cut and print of this dress still say spring and it’s so cute. You can easily dress these up or down for work or the weekend.

I can’t resist a statement peice! I love these hot pink plisse pants. They’re a pull on style with an elastic waist and wide legs. These scream comfy! But because of the texture of the plisse, they can still really be dressed up or down for any occasion. I love how it’s styled in the brand photo with a solid color tee and a denim jacket. You can also pair these with a blouse, heels, and a blazer for work. Pair these with a puff-sleeve top or a graphic tee for date night. I love a bold statement piece with versatility.

I know that most of the time when petite babes order “ankle length” pants, that usually means that they’re getting full length pants instead. These ponte knit pants are so comfortable! I love the bootcut almost 90s yoga pants style and shape of these. This color is so cute for spring. You can dress these up with a classic white tee and a layered open button-down shirt, or you can keep it casual with a graphic tee, sneakers, and a denim jacket. Yes, they are pull on pants. But they also have pockets! Comfy and practical is the way to go.

I’m seeing the straps across the front in multiple styles. I think that’s because it reminds us more of actual ballet shoes. This detail is so fun and cute and can also pair really well with edgy styles. Mixing and matching cutesy and edgy items will always look cool because of the contrast! These have a pointed toe. I do think that the rounded toe is more traditionally associated with “ballet” styles, but I love the pointed toe too, and made sure to give you some options!

They also offer up to size 13, which is amazing! These boots will look so cute with a sweater dress or a mini skirt with tights this fall and winter.

I am so excited to share fall dress with you, fly friends! These long sleeve plus size dresses are my favorites out there right now. I have options from midi to maxi length and up to size US 40!
