For all my fellow face psoriasis babes, here is my list of favorite products and steps to creating the perfect base for a face of makeup! These steps go through how I soothe and cover my psoriasis. Let me know if you try these products!
1. Exfoliate Face Psoriasis

I start by gently exfoliating the plaques off of the areas that I need to. This helps remove any roughness and smooth the skin out so that there will be less texture when I apply makeup later. I love having an exfoliator mitt to help with this step. This way you don’t have to use an exfoliating cleanser or product, which can be harsh on the skin.
2. Moisturize Face Psoriasis
Next, it’s time to moisturize. I love using Aquaphor because it is budget-friendly and healing, but I also like the Physiogel daily moisturizing therapy lotion. These are both extreme moisturizers that are sure to soothe your psoriasis before adding anything on top. Make sure to let the product sit in for a bit before going on to the next steps.
3. Color Corrector
DERMA-E $19 | L’OREAL BB CREAM $12
Next, I move on to a color corrector. Green is the right color to counteract redness. I love the Derma-E brand because it has the added soothing benefit of CBD, but the color-correcting BB Cream from L’Oreal works just as well and can easily be found at the drug store. This helps even out the color and tone of my skin.
4. Under Eye Brightener

Then I use an under-eye brightener on all of the affected areas on my face. This is an extra trick that helps even out the color and brightens the pigment back to the original skin color. This product helps blend the patches into the rest of my skin, and obviously brightens the darker hues just like it would for under-eye bags!
5. Concealer
NARS $14 | CLOVE + HALLOW $28
You can stop here, but I got a step further and apply concealer to really erase those psoriasis spots. I make sure to use a creamy and hydrating concealer, apply it with a sponge, and then let it dry down fully before applying any other skin products like foundation.
These are my steps to a flawless base that covers facial psoriasis!
