New year, new trends! Plus size fashion trends can be hard to find, so I made sure to link some examples for you to check out. We can and will participate in trends if we want to! 1. Sexy Grunge Plus Size Fashion Trends

Grunge is not going anywhere, but it’s getting a sexy spin this year. These grunge elements and styles can also be styled with more romantic pieces to create a softer look. This is such a fun trend to try, especially if this isn’t your typical style. Get out of your comfort zone in 2023!

2. Sheer Fabrics

Sheer fabrics and showing skin are in! I know this can feel a bit out of many plus size babes’ comfort zone, but these pieces are so fun! You can always wear a tank or a bodysuit underneath, and the textures and colors are so fun to play with. Like I said, we’re playing with fashion this year!

3. Lace Plus Size Fashion Trends

Don’t think lace in a grandma way, think lace in a 90’s way! Lace trim, lace details, and lace layering pieces and accessories. These pieces mixed with the sexy grunge pieces above is that perfect mix of edgy and romantic that I’m talking about!

4. Utility & Cargo

I think that this trend resurfaced because we are so tired of not having pockets! Cargo pants are especially in right now, but I love this skirt for a streetwear moment and this cargo vest is a great place to start if you want to get into this trend but don’t want to go full throttle.

5. Regencycore/Costume Drama

Dressing for the Renaissance fair is in whether you’re going or not! I think this is how to cottagecore style has evolved. It’s now even more chic and fairytale-like. The pandemic really brought out everyone’s need to dress however they want, and I think that’s how these amazing niche trends are born! Why not dress like the character from your favorite movie or novel? No one is stopping you!

6. Flats Plus Size Fashion Trends

Okay Fly Friends, I don’t know about this one. All of my research shows that flats are making a comeback this year. Here are three pairs of wide width flats for y’all to try. I will admit that flats do pair well with just about everything, but I don’t know if I can go back to zero arch support.

7. Cobalt Blue

I feel like this is another hard one for the plus size babes! For some reason, every single plus size item was in this color growing up. We truly could not escape cobalt blue. But the trend reports say that this is THE color for 2023! As long as we pick trendy pieces like these, I think that we can get into it.
