Fly Friends, have you ever had trouble finding plus size work outfits or the perfect look for a job interview? I’m here to help! I’ve put together some outfits from my favorite workwear retailers to show you that dressing for the job can still be fun! You can still show your style and personality in your work outfits. The only differences there should be in the way that you dress are the cut and length of items.

Business Boho – Old Navy

If your personal style has a bit of a boho flair, old navy is the place for you. You can dress these pieces up or down and they come in beautiful earth tones and neutrals that will pair well with any existing items already in your closet. These denim, tassel, and crochet details added to classic cuts make Old Navy the perfect place to get boho pieces that will work for your work wardrobe. This is also a great place to get an affordable capsule wardrobe for work. All of the pieces work well together and with maybe ten to fifteen pieces that can mix and match you’ll have 30+ outfits for work without a big budget!

Plus Size Workwear

I hope this blog helped you find some amazing plus size workwear pieces! I know there can be a lot of pressure for fat people to look ultra-professional at work because sometimes even dressing business casual has rude people calling us “sloppy.” If anyone gives you shit, remember that you’re at WORK and you don’t need to deal with that mess. 2022 is the year of reporting fatphobes to HR can calling out fatphobic behavior at the office, besties!

One of my favorite lines is, “would you think this outfit was inappropriate for work if (insert thin co-worker here) was wearing it?” Another is listing out exactly what I’m wearing before asking them if those items actually don’t meet the dress code. “I’m wearing a trouser, a sweater, and flats. Are those items really against the dress code?” Because most of the time hearing it back they’ll realize that no, those items are indeed NOT against the dress code.

Happy Fly-Friend-bossing!
