Living with Psoriasis means dry, itchy skin which is not a vibe. So I decided to put together a list of 5 products I use all the time for my dry skin. If you’re looking for more info on my personal psoriasis journey click HERE. I also go over what psoriasis looks like and how it is different from other skin diagnoses like eczema.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment

Have you ever seen the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”? There’s a dad in the movie who uses Windex for any scratch or cut. Well that’s me with Aquaphor.

I keep a tube by my bed, in my purse, at work and on the coffee table. I use it for my plaque psoriasis as well as chapped lips and dry cuticles. Aquaphor is also commonly recommended for tattoo aftercare and is perfect for moisturizing your tattoos to help bring the color back to life if you have dry skin.

RawSugar Sugar Scrub

When my psoriasis scales (plaques) get thick and rough I use this Raw Sugar body scrub in the shower. Not only does it soften the scales but it also smoothes the rest of my skin too! The raw coconut and mango scent also takes you to a tropical place in the shower, which definitely doesn’t hurt!

Lizzy James Body Butter Lavender Chamomile

This lavender and chamomile body butter is my go to for right before bed. I love this body butter because it doesn’t dry up fast and it keeps my skin from itching too much at night. And bonus points, this is another wonderful soothing smelling product. The scent is supposed to help you sleep at night.

Oil Free Moisturizer

For the longest time I couldn’t figure out why my face would sweat after putting on lotion and then I realized it was because of the oil in lotions. After I remove my makeup I always use this Neutrogena oil free moisturizer to keep it from getting too dry. That way there’s no sweating or oil build up, but I’m still treating my dry skin.

Foot Peel Mask

My feet get really dry and callused because I like to be barefoot or in flip flops all year long. These peeling foot masks are amazing for getting rid of all the rough and dry skin on my feet. If you’re a busy bee who can’t get to the nail salon for a pedicure as often as you’d like, these are great for in between appointments.
